This movie exploits the worst misconceptions about blind people for entertainment value. I applaud the NFB for protesting it. -Renee

Gee...

Once again, everyone managed to miss the point.

Blind people are not monsters.

PEOPLE are monsters.

This movie is not a thriller (when is the last time you were thrilled by groups of people not knowing how to use a bathroom), a comedy, an adventure, a documentary, science fiction (no fictional science here at all), or even an art-house Indie fun-go-see. It is a tired sophomoric device of making all but one woman blind (to show deep heavy philosophical stuff), and turning all of them into stereotypes, and then presenting the mess as an artist view of mankind gone feral. How pretentious. (It is easy to understand why a blind civil rights group will be picketing. Everything is blamed on the characters’ blindness, including forgetting how to wear clothes and an orgy of rape.) I suggest moviegoers save their money for a good film. This one was not even worth the box of popcorn.
