Shane Black is set to direct Universal Pictures’ spy flick “Cold Warrior” – based on a script from Chuck Mondry. Shane Black tracks spies in “Cold Warrior.”

Shane Black tracks spies in “Cold Warrior.” Shane Black - 34th Annual Saturn Awards - Press Room - The Universal Hilton Hotel - Universal City, CA, USA © Glenn Harris / PR PhotosVariety reports the film will be produced by Michelle Manning ("The Eye"), David Greenblatt and Anthony Bagarozzi.The film follows a Cold War spy who comes out of retirement to work with a young agent. The duo have to work together to stop a domestic terrorism threat from Russia.Black handled directing duties on 2005’s “Kiss Kiss Bang Bang” for Warner Bros. and wrote the “Lethal Weapon” films. He also provided writing duties on “The Last Boy Scout” and “The Long Kiss Goodnight.”
