Russell Crowe and Sienna Miller are finally set to start work on 'Nottingham' after it was postponed earlier this year.
The film - a new take on the legend of Robin Hood, with the 'Gladiator' star playing a good Sherriff of Nottingham - can now go into production after problems with the script were resolved.
Director Ridley Scott was said to be furious over the project's delay, which was also rumoured to be extended by a proposed actors' strike and the fact the forest location was not green enough.
The film is also set to star 'The Dark Knight' actor Christian Bale, although it is not clear whether he will be playing Robin Hood or King Richard.
'American Gangster' star Russell has been training vigorously for the part, which will see him embroiled in a love triangle with Sienna's Maid Marion and the thieving archer.
A rumoured twist may also see the actor play a double role.
Sienna has previously admitted she is thrilled to be part of the project.
She said: "It's the most exciting news in the world. I couldn't have a better part in the film."

Well that saves me £50 if that whores in it, because we shall not be viewing it......
boy sluttys dumb as well as having no morals or descernable acting talent
so she couldnt hava a better part in a film about robin hood, than maid marrion... lets state the blooming obvious shall we, its the only female role in it..I wonder how long it took 'Sienna Who?' to come up with that little gem
so wait-- last week the story was that she was set to star in the Sherlock Holmes movie because this one was postponed indefinitely. and suddenly this one is back on?
I don't believe either story. she's box office poison now-- hard to believe any actors, directors, producers or studios would want to go near her. she's vile, and a lousy actress as well.
well i won't be seeing that film ,neither will my family friends relations and the shopkeeper down the road. anybody who employs miller will wish they hadn't, she is a heartless cruel and fame seeking brat. i am not making excuses for getty he is a bastard first class, his wife is well rid of him and his womanising ways, he thinks the grass is greener on the other side, but a couple of years with miller will make him realise he is no better off. his wife is the only one who has acted with dignity and is truly a lady. i hope she and the children are well.
Oh, my Lord please don't put that used-up looking sleaze in this movie. I might like to see it and there's no way if she's in it.
Look, no one is pretty enough or a good enough actress to make up for having that wretched of a personaility. she needs to go crawls under a rock and die, really.
How did a woman with such a vulgar reputation manage to get tapped to play the part of Maid Marion? SM is not someone I would even consider a decent actress! How will she ever play this part? It's to much of stretch for her very limited acting abilities! Maid Marion was demure, wholesome and chaste! What would Miss Miller know of these attributes? Nothing, absolutely nothing. Maybe, director Ridley Scott owes SM's mum Jo a favor! No one in their right mind would hire her because of her public persona! People will not pay to see her in anything!
