‘Australia’ pushed back two weeks

Fox has delayed the opening of its epic romance film “Australia” to Nov. 26. The Nicole Kidman/Hugh Jackman flick was set to be released on Nov. 14th – a day after its world premiere in Australia.

Variety reports the film’s Oz premiere will also be delayed to bring it closer to the new U.S. release date. The delay will give director Baz Luhrmann more time to finish up the film. He is currently shooting pickups in Australia with the Kidman and Jackman.“Australia” follows an English woman (Kidman) who goes to a remote area of Australia and falls in love with a rugged cattle driver (Jackman). The story has a World War II setting.
