Warner Bros. is set to finance and produce the Coco Chanel biopic "Coco Avant Chanel" with Audrey Tautou. The film will start production starting Sept. 15 in Paris.

Variety reports the film will be directed by Anne Fontaine with the French company Haut et Court and Cine @ producing. Tautou's role in the film was announced at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival.
The film is scheduled for a 12-week shoot and should arrive in theaters in 2009. Warner Bros. Entertainment France will handle the French distribution, and Warner Bros. will handle the film’s international release.
It was written by Anne Fontaine and Camille Fontaine with script consultant Christopher Hampton. The film was based on the Chanel biography "L'Irreguliere" (The Nonconformist) by Edmonde Charles-Roux and will feature dresses from the Chanel collection.
