Hilary Swank picks up ‘Something Borrowed’

Hilary Swank and producing partner Molly Smith picked up the feature rights to Emily Giffin’s novel, "Something Borrowed." The film will be developed through the duo’s 2S Films and could star Swank. Hilary Swank -

I Love You" World Premiere - Arrivals - Grauman's Chinese Theater - Hollywood, CA, USA © David Gabber / PR Photos Variety reports the film follows a Manhattan attorney who has a relationship with her best friend’s husband following her 30th birthday.Swank and Smith are set to co-produce "Borrowed" with Aaron Lubin and Pamela Schein Murphy of Wild Ocean Films. They optioned the book from CAA, but will develop the film with Alcon Entertainment- who took over the option.The duo’s deal also includes the film rights to Giffin’s sequel novel, "Something Blue." The film is currently shopping out for writers, and will be financed and developed by Warner-based Alcon - which 2S has a two-year first-look deal.
