Tom Cruise and Sam Raimi have teamed to produce the screen adaptation of DC Comics’ “Sleeper” for Warner Bros. Pictures. Cover art to DC Comics

Cover art to DC Comics "Sleeper" Vol. 1.The comic was written by Ed Brubaker and ran from 2003-2005 at DC Comics. The story follows an agent who has an encounter with an alien artifact that makes him impervious to pain. It also allows him to pass the impervious power to others through skin contact, according to The Hollywood Reporter.Cruise will possibly star in the film with Raimi only scheduled to handle producing duties. If a hit, the film could become a franchise for Warner Bros.Cruise staring in the film is questionable given the fact he is attached to several other projects – including "Food Fight" and "The Tourist".
