Kiefer Sutherland has confirmed ideas for a movie based on his hit US TV show '24' are "on the table".

The actor - who plays action hero Jack Bauer in the show - says he is very excited about the idea of a feature film version of '24', but refused to confirm whether he will appear in it.

He told US TV show 'Extra': "It's certainly on the table. We would certainly be thrilled to make it, but we're going to wait until the series has finished."

Filming of the seventh series of the show was delayed by the 2007-2008 Writers Guild of America strike, but a special two-hour TV film is due to air in America in November ahead of the launch of the new series early next year.

Kiefer said: "We've just finished the TV film. So now, we have to wait until November to show it. Arguably, I think it's the best thing we've done to date."

The actor also revealed his fear of looking-glasses caused problems while he was filming new horror movie 'Mirrors', which is about a former policeman who is targeted by an evil force which uses mirrors for sinister purposes.

He said: "For me it was always innate. Not being overly enthralled with my own reflection. It was probably harder for me to watch it than to make it."
