Mark Ruffalo - 2007 Cannes Film Festival - Zodiac - Photocall - May 17, 2007 - Palais des Festival - Cannes, France © Solarpix / Photorazzi Variety reports Ruffalo will also have a role in the film and production is scheduled to start this fall in Los Angeles. The film is being fully financed by Corner Store Entertainment. The film features a script written by Thornton.In the film, Thornton plays a paralyzed DJ named "Delicious" Dean O'Dwyer. While struggling to survive the streets of L.A., he turns to faith-healing and develops the ability to cure the sick.Ruffalo will handle the role of a Jesuit priest who tries to help him learn the limits of his gift. Franco has taken the role of a rock singer in a band that exploits Thornton.The film will be produced by Andrea Sperling, Matthew Weaver, Scott Prissand, Ruffalo and Thornton. Robert Stein and Joanne Jacobson will handle executive producing duties.
