The casting of Mr. Firth for this role opposite Ben Barnes is a bit questionable because he played Ben's father in another soon-to-be-released film, Easy Virtue. Colin Firth is a very talented actor, and will most probably be excellent in this role. However, this might be a case of 'too much of a good thing'.
It would be really interesting to see Mr. Firth or Ben Barnes in something against type like a light drama set in MALIBU, CALIFORNIA. Perhaps something like 'TYLER'S RIDE'.
Regardless, SoCal fans will be looking forward to both Easy Virtue and Dorian Gray.
