Jennifer Lopez to star in ‘The Governess’

Jennifer Lopez has signed to star in the Yari Film Group’s romantic comedy "The Governess" – which will be directed by Nigel Cole ("Calendar Girls").
Variety reports the film was written by Kevin Wade ("Maid in Manhattan") and Wendy Braff. The script is receiving a re-write from Don Roos. Bob Yari is set to produce the film with Sid Ganis, Alex Siskin and Simon Fields. The film is scheduled to start shooting in Massachusetts in the fall.
The film’s plot follows a professional thief who takes on the role of a nanny to a wealthy widower’s three kids. The job is a way to pull off a bank heist, the thief starts to fall for the kids and their father.
Lopez is currently in pre-production work on the indie project "Love and Other Impossible Pursuits," with Roos directing. Roos also wrote the script. from his own script.
