Bryan Singer's Bad Hat Harry Prods. has teamed with Radical Pictures to bring a live-action version of Edmund Shern’s five-issue comic series "Freedom Formula" to the screen.

Variety reports Radical Publishing is set to debut the series at this year’s Comic-Con, and it scheduled to hit store shelves in August. The series is described as a "Top Gun" style action flick set in the future where racing exo-suits have replaced fighter jets.
The comic’s plot follows a genetically engineered racer who discovers his bloodline can change the world.
In Variety, Singer stated: "This is a timeless story about young people struggling to break free of authority. That's what ultimately appealed to me."
Singer has signed to produce the film with Radical's Barry Levine. Executive prodicing duties will be handled by Jesse Berger, Edmund Shern, Alex Garcia and Michael Zoumas.
The announcement marks the second comic book deal for Bad Hat Harry and Singer. Warner Bros. and Singer announced plans to bring Rob Liefeld’s "Capeshooters" to the screen with J.P. Lavin and Chad Damiani working on the script.
