Batman star arrested in London over assault allegations

London - British Batman star Christian Bale has been arrested by detectives investigating claims that he assaulted his mother and sister at a luxury hotel in London, Scotland Yard said Monday.
The 34-year-old Hollywood actor, in London for the European premiere of The Dark Knight Monday evening, was alleged to have lashed out at the two women on Sunday evening in his suite at the Dorchester Hotel, police sources said.
'A 34-year-old man attended a central London police station this morning by appointment. He was arrested in connection with an allegation of assault. He currently remains in custody,' said a spokeswoman from Scotland Yard.
Bale was arrested just hours after he attended the first European screening of the new Batman blockbuster, The Dark Knight.
The two women, who live in Dorset, south-west Britain, went to police Monday to make a formal allegation.
Bale, a keen environmental activist and martial arts enthusiast, also starred in American Psycho, Empire Of The Sun and Batman Begins.

if its true shame on him, but if the allegations are baseless shame on his Mum and Sis.
