Will Ferrell is set to star in Vince Gilligan’s drama/comedy “Two Face” for Sony Pictures Entertainment.
Variety reports the film will be produced by Mark Johnson and Jimmy Miller.
The film will feature Ferrell handling the title character – a racist who develops a split personality following a prank that goes bad.
Ferrell has been eyeing the script for about three years. Johnson and Gilligan have worked together on "Home Fries," and Gilligan’s helped write the Will Smith hit “Hancock” for Sony.
Johnson and Miller are reportedly shopping for a director for “Two Face” with plans to start production early 2009.
The film would go into production before Ferrell puts his own comic stamp on Dr. Watson opposite Sacha Baron Cohen’s take on Sherlock Holmes in the Ethan Cohen comedy about the legendary detective team for Columbia.
