Quentin Tarantino is reportedly talking with Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt about roles in his upcoming World War II epic "Inglorious Bastards."
Tarantino had discussions with Brad Pitt in France on Tuesday about the actor taking on the role of Aldo Raine and is rumored to be talking to DiCaprio about the villain role of Hans Landa on Thursday, according to information in Variety.
The film follows a group of disgraced U.S. soldiers as they escape the execution squad by going on a mission to help the Allies in the fight against the Nazis.
If the two actors sign for the film, it would mark the first collaboration between Pitt, DiCaprio and Tarantino. The director handled writing duties on 1993’s “True Romance” – which was directed by Tony Scott and featured Brad Pitt in the stoner role of Floyd.
Tarantino’s "Inglorious Bastards" is currently seeking a co-financing partner for worldwide distribution. The film is scheduled to start shooting this Fall with locations in Germany and France.
