Has a similar feeling to Spielbergs War of the Worlds which is not neccisarily a bad thing.

Yeah, if anyone knows the song and could tell me, that'd be stellar. It's uber-catchy whatever it is.

Awsome scene with Keanu and...David Richmond-Peck? I'm assuming that's the scene with the polygraph operater?

Tyler Bates (300) did the music for the film, but I am not sure if that is what is playing in the teaser.

The music in the trailer is from the score for the film 'Sunshine'

I try so hard to remember it my self, because I knew that I know that song, but couldn' remember where I heard it.

The music is by Clint Mansell and The Kronos Quartet. It is from the soundtrack for 'The Fountain' and is either from 'First Snow' or 'Death is the Road To Awe'.

This music was also used in a trailer for 'I Am Legend'.

Being an avid fan of both soundtracks, I can tell you that the music here is nothing that I've ever heard from The Fountain or Sunshine.

Seems you are right guys. I was defiantly wrong saying that it from Sunshine. But it still sounds a bit alike to the temp and filling of music used in Sunshine OST. Sorry for misleading )))

To me it sounds like its a beefed up version of First Snow off The Fountain. Its the same tune.

I've listened to 'First Snow' for about fifteen minutes now to try to compare the tunes.

I don't see how this trailer's music could be any variant of it. The rhythms sound absolutely different. I'm no musician, but they just sound too different.

There are several sites you can check for trailer music, such as adtunes and soundtrack.net, and none of them that I have read have been able to determine what music this is.

It may be an original piece of music.

I've been looking for this music myself since the trailer came out.
Have looked almost everywhere on the internet.....forums, posts etc....no luck.
and its definitely not from the scores of Sunshine or The fountain.
I too fear its an original composition for the movie or the trailer by the movie's composer. for which we'll just have to wait i guess.

I used the contact box @ tylerbates.com to ask about music and got the response that the song was called Immeninent Impact by Distortion. I replyed to ask how I could buy it or where I could get it and, thus far, have not received any response. I think it will be part of the soundtrack so, we might just have to wait. I searched the web for Immeninet Impact by Distortion and come up with zilch.

Whoever made it is going to make a lot of money if they sell it properly, cause it was really good music.

Plz let me know when somebody has found out where to get the music, its really good.

after listening to the link from crazylady it does sound like the song on the trailer, just softer vs the original which has a heavier sound. Searched everywhere for Immeninent Impact with no luck though Distortion does exist as Metalish/Alt/Rock band on itunes. Listening to their music I don't see how they even relate to the original song.

Oh man this sucks... It's not really a song by a band. It's a company that specializes in audio design for trailers and logos.

Go to www.distortionmx.com

It looks like this particular one was developed by them. I'm crossing my fingers that this ends up on the soundtrack.
