Jack Black has split from Warner Bros. upcoming supernatural comedy “Man-Witch.”
The actor and studio have given no reason for Black’s departure, but the film is still scheduled to start shooting in January, 2009. The film is being produced by Todd Phillips (“Old School”) – who may also handle directing duties.
"Man-Witch" follows a man who discovers he is a witch and becomes a teacher at a female witch school.
Black can be heard giving voice to DreamWorks’ hit movie Kung Fu Panda, and will return to the screen in Ben Stiller’s upcoming comedy “Tropic Thunder” with Robert Downey Jr.
