George Clooney stars in ‘The Tourist’

George Clooney is set to star in Warner Bros.’ screen adaptation of the Olen Steinhauer novel “The Tourist” with Anthony Peckham writing the screenplay.
Variety reports Smokehouse's Grant Heslov, Nina Wolarsky and Clooney will produce the film – which Warner Bros. picked up the film rights to in the fall of 2008.
"The Tourist" is an international thriller that follows a spy who risks all to bring a conspiracy to light after he is accused of a murder he didn’t do.
Peckham’s screenplay for “Human Factor” is set to be directed by Clint Eastwood in 2009, and he did a rewrite on director Guy Ritchie’s upcoming “Sherlock Holmes” film.
Clooney will return to the screen with Joel and Ethan Coen’s new film "Burn After Reading."
