Universal has announced Clint Eastwood's period drama "Changeling" will arrive in theaters on Oct. 24th in a limited run and open in a wide release a week later.
The film stars Angelina Jolie and made its world premiere at this year’s Cannes Film Festival under the French title of "The Exchange" – which lead to some speculation Universal might change the title domestically. However, the studio and Eastwood have kept the film’s original name for the domestic release.
Variety reports the film was produced by Imagine Entertainment and Eastwood's Malpaso Prods., and will arrive in theaters in time for award season.
Eastwood directed the film from a script by J. Michael Straczynski. It also stars John Malkovich, Jeffrey Donovan and Michael Kelly.
The film is set in 1920s Los Angeles, and follows the true life story of a woman whose son disappears. The police find her son months later, but she says it isn’t him.
