Variety reports Dana Lustig has signed to direct from a Chris Charney script. Shooting is scheduled to start on May 7th in Winnipeg.
In the film Schneider will handle the role of the father of a high school senior who has made the decision to lose her virginity to her boyfriend – who is also the football's team kicker.
She soon discovers that her boyfriend is actually only dating her and wanting to sleep with her to look good in the football team’s "bang book." The girl then plots with her friends to get revenge on the boy and the football team.
Wild Cherry takes its inspiration from the Greek play "Lysistrata."
Lustig's credits include Kill Me Later, Confessions of a Sociopathic Social Climber and The Wedding Bell Blues. She has signed to direct the upcoming Rock and Roll Nanny with Etchie Stroh attached to produce.
Schneider will return to the big screen with roles in Big Stan and You Don't Mess With the Zohan. The actor is currently shooting The Chosen One. Tania Raymonde stars on ABC’s hit series "Lost" and just finished shooting Still Waiting for Lions Gate.
