Uma Thurman and Minnie Driver are ready for Motherhood

Uma Thurman and Minnie Driver are set to join Anthony Edwards in Katherine Dieckmann’s upcoming comedy Motherhood.

Variety reports the film (which was written and will be directed by Dieckmann) will have a 25-day shooting schedule in May with an estimated $10 million budget. The New York location shoot gave producers the chance to take advantage of the 35% tax incentives.Thurman has signed on to play a mother of two who is busy prepping for her daughter’s sixth birthday. The film follows her with a “day-in-the-life” style of story as she tries to get the birthday party details together and overcome the urban challenges that get in her way.Driver (who is thrilling critics with FX’s “The Riches”) and Edwards (who broke big on NBC’s “ER”) have signed to play Thurman’s best friend and husband.Motherhood is produced by Koffler and Christine Vachon for Killer and Jana Edelbaum and Rachel Cohen for iDEAL. John Wells will serve as executive producer on the film.Thurman is set to return to the big screen with the drama The Life Before Her Eyes – which opens this week. She also has a starring role with Colin Firth and Jeffrey Dean Morgan in The Accidental Husband. The film is scheduled to be released this August.
