Shia LaBeouf visits Dark Fields

Shia LaBeouf has signed to star in Universal’s Dark Fields - a techno thriller from director Neil Burger (The Illusionist) and based on Alan Glynn’s 2002 novel.
Variety reports Leslie Dixon (“Hairspray”) adapted the screenplay and is set to produce the film. Dixon (who is at work on Universal’s The Birds) wrote the script and picked up the project for less than her normal price in exchange for more control over the film’s production.
The film’s plot follows a young man who comes into possession of the ultimate smart pill, and how it changes his life.
