Natalie Portman or Keira Knightley are fine for WH. But Lindsay Lohan?? It will take a long time to take LL seriously for anything. Lohan is not in the same class as Knightley or Portman.

I think for Wuthering Heights the ultimate classic with Sir Lawrence Olivier you need to be careful who you put in these roles.
Natalie Portman is fine as so is Kate Blanchett as Cathy and I think Colin Firth as Heathcliff. Colin Farrell may surprise us but sometimes there are certain roles that just do not suit some actors and after that they tend to be taken less seriously later on. Anyway I hope the cast now set, bring this again to life as did many many years ago.

Again after much thought i think toby stephens and ruth wilson might do a good job here especially after the BBC's Jane Eyre 2008. if not ruth then definitly toby stephens as Heathcliffe.
There are alot of grat british actors out there.just need to dig a little.

MS. NATALIE PORTMAN with her beguiling young looks might make a good female lead in WUTHERING HEIGHTS. But who would be her HEATHCLIFF??? CAN ANYONE REPLACE LARRY OLIVIER AND MERLE OBERON??? We shall see...

I do not think Colin firth or Kate blanchet would suite the part as Cathy and Heathcliff, for a start cathy was dark with brown eyes and they are far to old to play the part.
Cathy was only seventeen when she died in the book, and it makes me laugh
when i hear the perfect Cathy would be Kate winslet or kate blanchett.
Also the bad news that i have read that Sienna miller is now to play the part as Cathy.

Sienna Miller as Cathy,i hope this is not true she would not suite the part at all.
I would pass on watching this version, and how many have been made? at least six that i can think of, you would think by now they would get it right.

so far we have had versions where Heathcliff kills himself and cathy with a french accent, and in many they look too old to play the part.
One day they might get it right and do the book justice, which means sticking too the book, and picking the right characters.
