Johnny Depp to appear in High School Musical 3?

Teen queen Ashley Tisdale reveals to Extra that High School Musical 3: Senior Year rehearsal and filming secrets include rumors that superstar Johnny Depp is making a cameo.

Tisdale also gushes about meeting Simon Cowell and let’s fans in on what they can expect from her next album!

The High School Musical: Senior Year cast is back at work this month filming the highly-anticipated film that is due to hit theaters this fall.

Tisdale exclaims, “I heard it’s like eights weeks of rehearsal this time so it's a lot. And the musical numbers are much bigger…We’ll probably be dancing six hours a day.”

As for the superstars rumored to be making cameos, Tisdale responds, “I would love for Johnny Depp to be in it. He did say in an interview that his kids love High School Musical and he wouldn't mind doing a cameo. We should really jump on that one.”

Another celebrity jumping on the High School Musical bandwagon is American Idol’s Simon Cowell but don’t expect to see him roaming the halls of East High. Tisdale says, “I've always wanted to know what Simon Cowell would think of me and stuff, so when he said he wanted to have lunch with me at his house I was like, “Oh my gosh yeah!’…He’s really nice” She continues, “He loved my character!” 

One downfall of fame is the paparazzi, Tisdale comments, “Some of them are very aggressive. I’m very claustrophobic so when they’re completely surrounding me, I freak out.”

Once Tisdale is finished filming HSM 3, she expects to release another album saying, “I am working on my second album. I’ve recorded a couple songs but still going over a lot of stuff with the producers…co-writing. I’m just not rushing into anything right now. I want to focus on High School Musical 3 and then probably I’ll jump and focus on that. I want to give it my individual attention. It’ll probably come out around the fall.”
