Variety reports "Nick Ratchet" will be directed by Richard LaGravenese from his own screenplay with Larry Jacobson and Sonny Grosso in talks to produce. "Blaze" is being written by Gary Goldman ("Next"). "Tigress" is set to be written by Zoe Green with State Street Pictures' Robert Teitel and George Tillman to produce.
“Tigress” is not the same film as the previously announced Lee project titled “Tigress” which Lee is developing with Michelle Rodriguez attached to star. That film is based on the "Conan the Barbarian" villainess.
Disney and Lee are keeping plot details for all three projects a guarded secret.
In Variety, Lee stated: "You have no idea how frustrating that is for me, because I love these characters so much and want to talk about them."
Lee is known for his co-creation of iconic comic characters that have made their way to film including - Spider-Man, the Fantastic Four, the X-Men, Iron Man, the Hulk and Daredevil.
The three picture Disney deal will feature new characters who have never appeared in Lee’s comics and were created with a big screen debut in mind rather than print. Lee has said the characters could make their way to comics after their screen debut.
