Country singer Lyle Lovett will join actor Harry Dean Stanton on The Open Road for Perfect Weekend and Odd Lot Entertainment. The film will also feature singer Justin Timberlake, Jeff Bridges, Kate Mara and Mary Steenburgen.

Stanton has signed on to play the grandfather of Timberlake's character - a young man trying to rebuild his relationship with his father (Bridges) when he returns home to help his ill mother. Lovett has signed to play a Memphis bartender who helps Timberlake.
The film is shooting in Louisiana and other Southern locations with writer/director Michael Meredith at the helm.
