Lyle Lovett and Harry Dean Stanton hit ‘The Open Road’

Country singer Lyle Lovett will join actor Harry Dean Stanton on The Open Road for Perfect Weekend and Odd Lot Entertainment. The film will also feature singer Justin Timberlake, Jeff Bridges, Kate Mara and Mary Steenburgen. Lyle Lovett performs at the Library of Congress Concert Honoring Gershwin Prize Recipient Paul Simon, in Washington DC, USA 23 May 2007. Paul Simon is the first recipient of the Gershwin Prize for Popular Song, named in honor of George and Ira Gershwin, to be given annually to a composer or interpreter of popular music whose work has been influential on music and society. Lovett has signed to play a Memphis bartender who helps Timberlake.The film is shooting in Louisiana and other Southern locations with writer/director Michael Meredith at the helm.
