John Lithgow, Kristin Scott Thomas, Leslie Bibb, Lynn Redgrave and Julie Hagerty have joined the romantic comedy Confessions of a Shopaholic – which also stars Isla Fisher.

The Disney/Bruckheimer Films project is based on the best-selling novels from Sophie Kinsella and is directed by P.J. Hogan. Shooting is taking place in New York and Connecticut with Disney’s Jason Reed overseeing the production, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The film’s plot follows a compulsive shopper (Fisher) in Manhattan who is drowning in debt and becomes a financial-advice columnist.
Lithgow has signed to play a publishing magnate, Thomas will handle the role of a magazine editor, Bibb will be a fashion magazine staffer. Redgrave will handle the role of a doyenne of a publishing empire, and Hagerty a business magazine assistant.
