Paramount is in talks with Platinum Dunes and Michael Bay to bring a remake of the horror classic Rosemary’s Baby to the big screen. The film has yet to find a writer, according to The Hollywood Reporter.From best-selling novelist Ira Levin ("The Boys From Brazil," "The Stepford Wives"), Rosemary’s Baby was adapted for the screen in 1968 by Paramount and director Roman Polanski. The film starred Mia Farrow, John Cassavetes and Ruth Gordon (who won an Oscar for her performance).The story follows a young married couple who move into a New York apartment. They are quickly befriended by their elderly neighbors. After Rosemary becomes mysteriously pregnant, she starts to suspect her neighbors are part of a coven of witches and she is carrying the devil’s baby.Bay’s Platinum Dunes label is also working with Paramount and New Line on a remake of the classic horror film Friday the 13th. It is also in production on Unborn – which is an original supernatural thriller directed by David Goyer.

this a-hole will probably attempt to redo the Godfather in my lifetime.

Rosemary's Baby doesn't need a writer-it needs to be re-released in theaters and DVD to show younger audiences great performances, writing and how horror is made as a classic.
