Paramount and Sam Raimi tap Monster Zoo

Paramount Pictures has picked up the rights to bring the graphic novel Monster Zoo to the screen. The novel is written by Douglas TenNapel (“Earthworm Jim” and “Cat Scratch”) and will be published by Image Comics in the spring. At this time, Raimi (who is busy with Drag Me to Hell) has only signed to produce the film. The graphic novel tells the story of a boy who discovers the local zoo has animals much scarier than what you would normally find.
