Len Wiseman has signed on to direct Shell Game for Lakeshore Entertainment and Columbia Pictures.
Variety reports the sci-fi action flick is set in the future and follows a detective dealing with a moral dilemma as he conducts an investigation into the black-market.
The film’s original screenplay was written by Justin Bondi and Andrew Ludington with Wiseman and Chris Morgan working on the most recent draft.
In Variety, Wiseman described the film as a dream project and stated: "I've been wanting to make this film for the past five years, but it's a huge film and has always been too expensive to make at the level I've wanted to make it at. Now I'm finally getting a chance to do it at that level."
Wiseman will also handle producing duties on Shell Game with Lakeshore's Tom Rosenberg, Gary Lucchesi and Skip Williamson. JC Spink and Chris Bender will executive produce.
