Joan Cusack and John Goodman join ‘Shopaholic’

Joan Cusack and John Goodman have signed to join Isla Fisher on Touchstone Pictures' comedy "Confessions of a Shopaholic." Hugh Darcy and Krysten Ritter will also appear in the film. Joan Cusack - Raising Helen Los Angeles Premiere - Arrivals - El Capitan Theatre - Hollywood, CA, USA © Lee Roth / RothStock / PR PhotosVariety reports the film is an adaptation of Sophie Kinsella’s bestselling novel. P.J. Hogan is set to direct the film with Jerry Bruckheimer producing. The film is scheduled to shoot in New York and Connecticut. Goodman and Cusack have signed to play the parents of Fisher's character. The film’s story follows a woman dealing with the stress of credit card debt while working in the New York magazine world.
