Ellen Page has left Sam Raimi’s upcoming “Drag Me to Hell.” The actress was forced to leave the project due to scheduling conflicts. EPA/PAUL BUCKVariety reports the film (which is being released through Ghost House Pictures and Mandate Pictures) was set to start shooting on March 17th in Los Angeles, but was delayed until March 31st.Ghost House and Mandate issued a joint statement concerning Page’s departure. The statement (which ran in Variety) read: “We were racing to start production so that we could accommodate Ellen’s schedule. But like so many other productions trying to start before the potential SAG strike date, this one needed more time, and we had to push back the start of production.”In the wake of her Juno Oscar nomination, Page has been attached to several films – including the upcoming thriller Peacock for Mandate and Whip It – which will be Drew Barrymore’s directorial debut and also released through Mandate.
