Tenney has taken the role of a father attempting to connect with and protect his teenage son (played by Penn Badgley). Amber Heard will play Badgley’s girlfriend, and replaced Adrianne Palicki (“Friday Night Lights”) – who was in talks for the part, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The film will also star Sela Ward as Tenney's ex-wife, and Dylan Walsh ("Nip/Tuck") as the her new husband that also might be a bit of a psycho.
The film reteams director Nelson McCormick and writer J.S. Cardone. The two worked together on Screen Gems’ Prom Night (another remake of a horror classic).
