John Turturro lends voice Christmas Story

John Turturro - 56th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards - Arrivals - Shrine Auditorium - Los Angeles, CA, USA © Lee Roth / RothStock / PR PhotosVariety reports Todd Thaier (who handled the voice casting duties for Arthur and the Invisibles) is in charge of finding the voice talent for the English-language dub for the film – which is about how Santa became Santa Claus. The movie was directed by Juha Wuolijoki for Snapper Films. It had a $3.7 million budget and opened in Finland in 2007. The movie made $2.6 million – which set a record as the largest domestic hit of the year.Christmas Story had its international market premiere at the European Film Market in Berlin. The film was sold by Delphis Film to distributors for Spain, France, Turkey, Greece, Mexico, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland and Scandinavia.
