Statham returns to Transporter

Jason Statham is set to get behind the wheel again for a third Transporter film. Variety reports Statham will re-team with co-star Francois Berleand for the third film in the franchise. The film will also feature Robert Knepper from Fox’s hit television series "Prison Break". Olivier Megaton has signed on to replace Louis Leterrier -who handled directing duties on the first two Transporter films. The film will be produced by EuropaCorp principal Luc Besson and Steve Chasman, and is scheduled for a 16 week shoot with locations in Russia and France.The first two Transporter films featured screenplays by Besson and Robert Mark Kamen and saw a worldwide box office return of more than $130 million. Transporter 3 will further EuropaCorp's move into films with broader international marketing value.
