Nikki Reed joins Twilight

Nikki Reed, Peter Facinelli, and Elizabeth Reaser have signed to join Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart in Summit Entertainment's upcoming vampire flick, Twilight. The film is an adaption of the popular Stephenie Meyer's novel.

Variety reports Jackson Rathbone, Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz have also joined the cast and will be part of the vampire Cullen family.
The film is being directed by Catherine Hardwicke from a script by Melissa Rosenberg. It is being produced by Karen Rosenfelt, Greg Mooradian and Wyck Godfrey. Mark Morgan is also producing through his Maverick Films.

The film follows Bella Swan (Stewart) - a 17-year-old who moves to a small town in Washington to live with her father and becomes drawn to Edward Cullen (Pattinson). Edward just also happens to be a vampire.

Twilight is set to go into production in early 2008. Summit hopes to launch a franchise and adapt the other two Meyer novels.
