Amy Adams is in talks to star with Ben Stiller in 20th Century Fox’s upcoming Night at the Museum 2 – which will also see director Shawn Levy returning.
Variety reports the film sees the chaos return when artifacts from the Museum of Natural History are transported to the archives at the Smithsonian in Washington. Adams is in talks to play an undetermined historical figure who has a bit of a crush on security guard Larry (Stiller).
The film is scheduled to hit theaters in the U.S. on May 22, 2009. The sequel was written by Robert Ben Garant and Thomas Lennon with the most recent draft penned by Scott Frank.
It is being produced by Levy through his 21 Laps with 1492 Pictures. Michael Barnathan and Mark Radcliffe will also handle producing duties on the film. The studio is looking to start production in May in Vancouver.
