Ken Watanabe travels to Shanghai with Gong Li and John Cusack

The film will shoot in Shanghai and is produced by Mike Medavoy and Barry Mendel. It is being excutive produced by Arnie Messer. The film follows an American who returns to a corrupt, Japanese-occupied Shanghai four months before Pearl Harbor and discovers his friend has been killed. While searching for the who was responsible, he falls in love and stumbles on a larger secret involving his own government.
