Garret Dillahunt has signed on for the remake of Wes Craven's Last House on the Left for Rogue. The actor will handle the role of Krug in the remake which is being directed by Dennis Iliadis.
Variety reports Dillahunt joins Rhys Coiro, Martha MacIsaac and Riki Lindhome on the project – which is set to start shooting on March 24th in South Africa.
The remake is being produced by Craven and Marianne Maddalena under Craven’s Midnight Pictures label. Sean S. Cunningham (who produced the original film) will also produce the remake. The original script had a rewrite by Adam Alleca – who reportedly gave the story a more realistic tone.
The film’s plot follows a vacationing couple at their lakeshore house who inadvertently let sociopaths into their home. The men attack and nearly kill the couple’s daughter, and the married couple spend the rest of the film getting revenge.
