Orlando Jones has signed on to star in the indie film Misconceptions – which is being directed by Ron Satlof from a script he wrote with Ira Pearlstein.
The film follows a religiously conservative married Southern woman named Miranda who receives a message from God telling her to act as the surrogate mother for two gay men.
Jones will take on the role of Terry – one of the hopeful parents who arrives at the woman’s home to help her with the pregnancy. Naturally, he only causes more problems.
Jones will be joined by A.J. Cook (CBS' "Criminal Minds") in the role of Miranda. The film will also star Sarah Carter, Sam Ball, David Sutcliffe and David Moscow – in the role of Jones' life partner.
Steven J. Brown is handling the producing duties through his Cineglobe Prods. The film is being executive produced by Ted Perkins and J.A. Bremont, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
