Vanessa Hudgens joins Will

“High School Musical” star Vanessa Hudgens has joined the cast of the upcoming teenage drama Will.
The film was written by Todd Graff and Josh Cagan. Graff is also handling directing duties on the film with Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas producing. The production is set to start shooting in February in Austin, Texas.
It follows the unlikely friendship of a high school misfit and the popular girl who find common ground through their love of music. The two form a band of outcasts and perform in a musical competition.
Hudgens has signed for the role of Sam – the fifteen-year-old stutterer who becomes romantically linked with the lead outcast, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Hudgens broke big with the role of Gabriella Montez in Disney’s megahit “High School Musical” and its sequel. Disney has announced plans for a third film in the series – which is scheduled to start filming later this year.
