Solomon Kane cast grows

The cast for the upcoming Solomon Kane adaptation has grown. It now includes Max Von Sydow, Pete Postlethwaite, Rachel Hurd-Wood, Alice Krige and Mackenzie Crook.

Variety reports the film, which was the creation of Conan author Robert E. Howard, is being directed by Michael J. Bassett (Deathwatch) based on his own script. The film is the first in a planned trilogy, and is scheduled to start shooting in Prague this month.Solomon Kane is the story of a 16th century soldier (James Purefoy) who is tormented by the evil deeds of his past and seeks redemption by fighting against an evil power that threatens the world.
