Pop singer Natalie Imbruglia and “Buffy” star Bailey Chase are the latest names floating around the Net for roles in the upcoming X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

The Herald Sun has reported Imbruglia tested for a part in the X-Men prequel which will see Hugh Jackman return to the role that launched him to stardom. The film is set to start production at Fox Studios complex in Sydney, Australia.
There has been no official word concerning Imbruglia or what role she was reportedly testing for. Rumors have her attached to the role of Silver Fox – which is Wolverine’s love interest. Maggie Q has also been rumored to be up for the role.
Chase continues to be attached to the role of Gambit, but there has been no official word about the Cajun appearing in the film or the actor’s involvement.
Other names rumored to be involved in the film include Robert Knepper (T-Bag on Fox’s “Prison Break”) for an unknown role and Gerard Butler (300) for the role of Sabertoooth.
