who ever thinks that robert pattinson is ugly is weird... he is a hottie and i can see him being edward but kirsten might over power him. he is extremly attractive

What is this!?!?!?!? The Robert Pattinson Hate club!! I think Robert Pattinson is an AMAZING actor who I enjoy to watch on screen. He portrays the character he is playing with great enthusiasm and is a natural at what he does. Ofcoarse he doesn't fit Edward perfectly.....nobody ever could!!! Edward is a fictional character who's image varies from mind to mind!!!! Realy...... if they tried to caste a person who fit everyones image of Edward perfectly it would take forever and quiet frankly ....it can't be done. Books are written to give your imagination a workout and although the writer might use a ton of description when writeing a scene......everyone is going to imagine a different shade of red or different curves in the mountains and valleys or even the way the light makes a shadow across a vase. Every scene can't be adjusted to fit your imagination perfectly. Think about it for a minute. Don't you think that acting as Edward has got to be one of the hardest roles to play. I mean come on....He's got to play the role of a perfectly flawless teenage vampire who takes your breath away and makes you lose you train of thought just by looking at him. It's pretty hard to find someone like that and if you don't think he would be a good choice now.....go and look up a picture of what he's going to look like in the movie and I guarantee that your opion will be altered imediately. If you are mainly watching the movie or reading the books because you think edward is hot then you aren't realy soaking in all the exhilarateing action that leaves your heart beating fast and counting down the seconds till the next release date.

I think that Robert pattinson is fine as heck!! He matches all the characteristics for Edward. He has the gorgeouse high cheek bones and a perfectly square jaw line....i have to admitt...i'm gonna miss the naturaly blushed cheeks tho when they put the makeup on him. And stop complaining about this Gausper {or whatever the heck his name is} dude and move on. This is all just a fantasy and I hope you understand that Edward Cullen isn't just gonna pop up out of nowhere and fall in love with you. It's just a story...... I mean ......heck..... after I read Gone With The Wind I didn't expect to wake up in the next morning looking like Scarlet and haveing everyone drool all over me. take some Advive.... lose this obsession, move on and face reality cause more than likely if you found someone that perfect its not gonna work out cause your always gonna feel lesser or like you don't deserve them. The reason Stephenie Meyr wrote these books where to express herself and entertain you...not get some secret (or not so secret)obsession going. It's okay to be a fan but to be on the verge of being a stalker well....thats kinda creepy. Half of you that are whineing about not likeing the cast have never realy seen any of their movies that they've played in so your kinda being stubborn about this whole thing. i know there are gonna be some nasty comments following this about what I've said so i'm realy only writeing this to try and persuade you not to let yourself get so caught up in little fantasies and try to see it thru the director or the authors eyes. And don't prejudge someone work because you don't like who they are. they could just stop and not make a movie at all ....but....then you'd just complain about that too.

I agree with Esther

No-one is perfect to play Edward
but,
~Robert fits the description in Twilight quite well
And he was picked for his acting abilities as well as his appearance;
and for those who think Gaspard should have been Edward, he obviously wasn't capable of the role.

well what can i say? i've read a lot of the comments left by fans like me and yea i was disappoited to see the casting. i expected edward to be played by someone else (and no gaspard ulliel doesnt fit the part perfectly..sorry to say) kristen..well cant complain..i guess we all just have the image of robert as cedric in harry potter that its hard for us to see him play edward..i will still go see the movie and then ill give it a thumbs up or down..till then ill live with the cast...

okay i dont kno this amy gurl is but you are soooooooooooooooooooooooo totally wrong about who should play edward. sure gaspard is extremly HOT but soooo is robert and he's a great actor who may not fit the role perfect but does dang good job at tryin so u can just shut up about puttin robert down its not like its going to kill the book or the movie it will be just as great. DUH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! sooo go shove your horrible stupid opinions up your but!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thats how i roll!!! got it.

I think Robert will do one hell of a job. He's an excellent actor. Plus, he is one sexi guy.
I am sure this movie is just what his craeer needs. He is a talented actor and deserves this role.

He will do a fantastic job and hope that one day I am able to work with him myself.

every1 just needs to stop with the 'uh i dont think robert can play that part'. Robert is going to do an amazing job. I bet u that once u c the movie and u c robert at his best u will shut up and say, he made a good Edward. Truly, to me, i don't really care who they would have chosen as Edward. Either way, who ever would have played Edward was going to do an amazing job at it simply because they are paid to do so.

Hmmm, I think Robert would be a good 'Edward'. Come on, Robert is a great actor, Yeah Gaspard is 'HOT' and 'Edward-like' but we can't argue with Stephenie Meyer's decision, she's the author, she's the one who created the fictional character-Edward, so she should know who would be the best to portray the role (Edward). And you guys should see their photos while filming, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart looks good together, they were like the perfect Edward and Bella, besides, Robert have changed a lot since their first shooting, he's much like Edward now. He really changed a lot, I admit, I didn't like him before, when he played the role of Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of fire, especially when I've seen his pictures during their premieres. But I still like how he acts.
So guys, you should support them. :D

i think that robert pattinson is frikin' hot!
bit, just because he is hot is NOT the reason why i think that he would
do perfect for the part.i think that.....no,i KNOW that he will do great for the part as Edward Cullen.....i think that everyone will do terrific for the part and of all the pictures i've seen of kristen and robert together i think that stephenie meyer really thought it through and the movie is going to be frikin' awesome and i've read all those books and now i'm waiting for the movie to come out and i'm extremely happy to know that there is going to be a movie coming out in december.....gosh i'm sooo excited!
