I think he is good enough!
And harry potter would be way worst, i mean he wouldnt be scary enough.
Robert Pattinson is good enough for the role.
and yes, no one can fit edward cullen, but so what every one has different opinons.
You are not the director so i would not talk of who is perfect or not!

I agree Edward is too beautiful to portray a person!
Robert Pattinson is not that good looking and can't be Edward!
I don't really like Kristen Stewart either the way they describe Bella and the way Kristen looks it has no resemblance. I might not even watch the movie : (

lol You all are crazy! Robert is AMAZING! He will deffinatley make a great Edward. He was not what I had pictured to be Edward either, but I know it will be a great film anyway. The trailer looks awesome!

robert pattinsen is a great actor. this is definately not his best pic, but in others i have seen of him he has a very unique look about him. his eyes alone are enough to sting. he also has the natural crooked smile that edward has. also kristen stewart will be awesome. she is one of the best young actresses i have seen. this movie is going to rock!!!!!!

I think everyone should just wait for the movie to go horribly wrong to complain(if that happens). None of us have seen the movie so who are we to say that '... he definately doesn't fit the part...'. The movie trailer is short and doesn't tell us much so just stop whining please! The movie might end up being one of the best you've ever seen! you never know.

okay, even though the book describes Alice with short black hair and Rosalie with longer blonde hair, I think they should switch because of their personalities :) just my opinion though!

I really don't like it when ppl diss Robert Pattinson.
Edward is a character in a book, we all have our own ideas
of what he looks like. Perfect. Of course. But no one in the
real world is perfectly good-looking, or anything. If your just going
to keep complaining, shut it, some of us don't want to hear it. Don't
see the movie. Cuz... your ruining it for other ppl... so ya. Just keep your mouths shut.

robert pattison is a complete babe !!! XD he totally suits the role of edward in twilight, especially when hes been made up and chalked down !!! He rocks MY socks at least... and as long as he plays edward in twilight and its sequels... my life will be fulfilled =P

So, when my friend (who I got addicted to twilight as well) told me that *Cedric Diggory* was probably going to be playing Edward... my first thought was 'oh dear god this is gunna turn out horrible >.< ' but my memory of him from that movie was very faint, just the hair and the sharp features... I've been looking at Twilight fansites and Stephenie Meyers site and everything Twilight ALL DAY... and I gotta say... DAAAAAAANGGGGG!!!! he's actually freaking GORGEOUS! and after watching the trailers and the first completed scene and stuff and hearing his voice with the whole - esscence that IS Edward... DAAAAAAANGGGGG!!!! I have never in my life been more stoked for a movie or a book or anything as I have with the Twilight series...
CONGRATULATIONS STEPHENIE FOR WRITING THE MOST INCREDIBLE BOOKS ON THE FACE OF THIS EARTH!!!!♥

Some of you are just crazy ! As i've read, no one could fit edward perfectly, but if that perfection really exists, it'll be called: robert pattinson ! he is a great actor and, of course, i think he is really good to play edward cullen, no way. The film will be fantastic ! i can't wait to see it.

Ru kidding me???? Robert PATTINSON??? NOOOOOO!!!! Gaspard Ulliel should play Edward! What were they thinking? This is totally going to ruin my view on the book!!! I HATE it when this happens! This is how they ruined the Princess Diaries you know- I didn't even bother watching the 2nd one, but my friend told me it didn't end in any way like the books! ugggggh... Pattinson... this is xtremely upsetting. All I have to say is he had better be a pretty darn good actor! :[

okay, i'll admit, he's not my edward. but i doubt they can get some super amazingly, greek god/ model looking dude, who can act; to play edward. do not take it out on Robert!
he's a good guy.
=)
we all have our own image of edward so don't be butt heads!
just imagine they got someone who was the mirror image of edward cullen, and. . . he couldn't act.
then you'd have something to brag about.
