By M&C Movie News Dec 14, 2007, 14:28 GMT
Steve Norrington has been tapped to direct the remake of Clash of the Titans for Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures.
Variety reports the studio is looking for a 2008 production start for the remake of the 1981 classic film – best known for its special effects from the master Ray Harryhausen.
The film is being produced by Basil Iwanyk through his Thunder Road banner and features a script by Lawrence Kasdan (who did a rewrite of Travis Beacham’s script).
The Clash of the Titans remake will be the first film Norrington has helmed since 2003’s League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.

we do not need a clash of the titans remake. If they want they should re-release it for anniversary purposes. Honor the film don't make a newer better version...it'll ruin the vision.
