Casting Rumor - Gerard Butler is Sabretooth?

The latest casting rumor making its way around the web finds Gerard Butler eyeing the role of Creed (better known as Sabretooth) for the upcoming X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
The CHUD website has reported the Wolverine production team has reached out to Butler (300) for the role that was first brought to the screen by Tyler Mane (Halloween). The site is also reporting director Gavin Hood is interested in Natalie Portman for the role of Kayla. There has been no official word concerning the actors involvement in the project.
Another rumor circulating the web finds fan-favorite character Deadpool making an appearance in the film.
Prison Break’s Robert Knepper (“T-Bag” on the hit show) has also been rumored to be involved in the project. The Denver Post ran a story that attached the star with the film – which will see Hugh Jackman return to the role of Wolverine for an origin tale.
