Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson go to 'War'

Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson have signed on for the romantic comedy Bride Wars for director Gary Winick and New Regency.
Variety reports Hathaway and Hudson are set to star as friends that turn to rivals when their wedding dates clash. The film will follow the two as the fight for venues, services and guests.
Hudson also plans to produce the film with Julie Yorn and Alan Riche. It will be distributed by Twentieth Century Fox and starts shooting in January.
The shooting script (which was completed before the strike) was written by June Diane Raphael and Casey Wilson. Karen McCullah Lutz and Kirsten Smith also worked on the film’s screenplay.
