Jamie Chung has signed to join Justin Chatwin and James Marsters in Fox's live-action adaptation of the popular Japanese comic Dragonball.
Chung will handle the role of Chi Chi (love interest of Goku) for the James Wong directed film. Chatwin has already been announced for the role of Goku and Marsters will play the film’s bad guy Piccolo. Stephen Chow is set to handle producing duties on the film, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
In the film, Goku is Dragonball’s warrior who protects Earth from all kinds of villains who want to take control of the universe and the mystical Dragonballs.
Wong also wrote the script for the project – which had an earlier draft written by Ben Ramsey. Dragonball is based on Akira Toriyama's popular manga.
The film is scheduled to start shooting this month with Fox aiming for an August 15th, 2008, worldwide release. Chatwin is said to already be in training for the project and stunts are being handled by 87Eleven - the company which helped bring the action sequences in films like The Matrix, The Bourne Supremacy, and 300 to the screen.

this is simply driving every DB fan to a boycott, and it's not only those in Japan, too
